Alstom, GE in the race for Algerian solar projects
Alstom SA and General Electric Co. are among companies shortlisted to bid for the construction of solar thermal power plants in Algeria, Algerian state utility Societe Algerienne de l’Electricite et du Gaz said in Algiers.
Twelve groups of companies, which also include Alstom SA and c, will be invited to participate in the tender before the end of this year, the company announced at a bid announcement event today.
Ansaldo Energia SpA, Germany’s Flagsol GmbH, Cairo-based Orascom Construction Industries and Italy’s CMS Industries were also among the pre-qualified companies, the company said.
