Grupo San Jose begins construction of 20 MW PV Plant in Peru

Sanjose has commenced the erection of a 20 MW solar PV park on the plains of Alto de la Alianza near Tacna. This will be the first plant of such a scale to be connected to the grid in Peru.

The plant, which will make use of polar axis trackers, will be connected to the grid at the end of 2012 and will annually produce 45 GWh, thanks to its privileged location in an area of intense solar radiation. Its 80,000 PV solar panels amounting to a total of 22 MWp, will inject this electricity into the national grid.
